Warri Bishop Allegedly Raped a Teenager during Deliverance Service.


The founder and General Overseer of. Victory Revival Fasting and Prayer Ministry, Bishop Elijah Orhonighe was arrested by the detectives from the Nigeria Police Force, Warri Area command in warri for allegedly raping a nineteen year old girl.

The Clergyman was arrested by the police officers at Warri A division. In a chat with the newsmen, the Warri Area commander of Nigeria Police force, ACP Mohammed Muktar Garbage confirmed the arrest. 

  The police commander said the cleric was arrested following a complaints by the mother of the victim at his office. The mother was said to be a member of the church owned by the Cleric where the daughter was allegedly raped.

 ACP Garba said the mother narrated that the pastor said he had a dream that death was hovering in their house and for peace to reign, she should bring her daughter for deliverance.

 The pastor who was said to be at large was later arrested last Friday.  

 "We were looking for this pastor for the past three weeks. We later traced him to where he was hiding and I got him arrested and we are charging him to court now. He has been in cell since Friday, Saturday, Sunday and today Monday. I am charging him to court.

The police commander said he has got a doctor to examine the victim and the police now has every evidences needed to charge the suspect.

 However, the suspect denied the allegation. In his words "she came to church on that fateful day, 20th of may. The mother brought her to church for deliverance and I prayed for her in presence of three people in front of the altar. Immediately after the prayer, she left the church, that was around to 12. She came back by 5 o'clock with policemen and some crowd saying "this man", I didn't rape her".

 The victim on the other hand said she was a member of the church when she was younger but stopped at a time. She said the bishop told her mother that he dreamt that she(victim) slept with a yahoo boy and the yahoo boy used handkerchief to clean her up with the intention to use her for ritual. She said the cleric gave her Olive oil to insert in her private part and gave her more to drink. He later told her to strip naked and lie down on a mat in the church with the sliding windows and doors closed. "He started having sex with me from behind. That was all I could remember. There was sperm over my body. I shouted. He even said I should come again" she said.

 Comrade Israel Joe, a human right activist said "we are fighting the Antichrist not the nofu of Christ, so we stand for justice".

  The Bishop was charged to court yesterday morning.
